BILLY NEEDS A HOME AWAY FROM THE SHELTER! But he has to be the only 4-legged child!
Billy
ID: A0060143084
Sex: Male
Age: 2 Years
Altered? No
Intake date: 01/22/2026
Dog sociability: Reactive at the shelter. Suggesting only dog's home
Billy is a very sweet and affectionate boy who truly enjoys being close to people. When out of his kennel, he is laid-back and loves attention, happily sitting near staff and soaking up pets. He takes treats gently and has shown a gentle, wiggly personality once he feels comfortable. Billy can be a little nervous about the leash at first, but with patience, he warms up quickly and does well once he’s out for a walk.
Billy has shown concerning reactivity toward other dogs in the shelter, including fixation and kennel fighting behavior. Because of this, he should not be placed with other dogs at this time
Billy appears to be healthy at this time; however, he has very sensitive feet. The salt from the snow has caused his paw pads to bleed, and with kennel stress, he often paces around his kennel. He is currently getting his feet soaked and hot compressed.
If you can foster Billy and have room in your home and heart, until he finds his forever home, please let us know at Charlie to the Rescue! Go to https://www.charliedog.org/services and fill out a short inquiry. We will try to find a rescue that can help you get him out of the shelter to save his life and support him financially while in your care.
