Exuberant Miniature Schnauzer- Seeking URGENT Rescue/Foster! (Baldwin, MD)

Meet Emu! Emu came in to Baltimore County Animal Services as a stray. He unfortunately did bite the finder and her daughter when they were attempting to contain him, the bite did draw blood and Emu was held on a 10 day bite quarantine here at the shelter. His bite quarantine has ended and he is not available for rescue placement. Emu has been a very happy go lucky pup here at the shelter. He is loose and wiggly at the front of his kennel and enjoys taking in all the scents of his surroundings. He also appears housebroken. He will climb into his handlers lap for attention and accept pets. When back in the shelter in a quiet room Emu was quite jumpy with attempts to mouth at clothing. This jumpy/mouthy behavior is likely induced from shelter stress but may need additional training to support. Due to his bite history and current medical we are hoping to find rescue placement to best meet Emu’s needs.
