Ladybug Needs Rescue
6 Years, 39lbs

Meet Ladybug, a 6-year-old Heeler/Lab mix in need of rescue. Ladybug originally came to us as a stray in 2019 and was adopted shortly after. Sadly, her story did not have the happy ending we had hoped for, and she returned to our care this past December once again as a stray. While we do not know what happened during the time she was away, we have been able to learn a great deal about her during her stay with us.

Ladybug has consistently shown herself to be a friendly and social dog who enjoys spending time with staff and volunteers and eagerly heading out for walks. She has also spent time in foster care, where she was reported to settle in quickly and adjust well to the home environment.

Ladybug does appear to have a history of crate aversion and some separation-related challenges, and she may have difficulty settling or may have occasional accidents when left alone. That said, she does better when confined to a designated area of the home rather than a crate. Unfortunately, the frequent transitions between the shelter and foster care have begun to take a toll on her, and we have recently observed an increase in reactivity.

Ladybug would greatly benefit from a committed rescue partner who can provide her with the stability, structure, and supportive environment she needs to decompress and thrive. If your rescue may be able to help Ladybug, we would love to hear from you.
