Baltimore County Animal Services is urgently seeking rescue placement Mike Box, who was found tied to a tree with another dog. Though found together, they do not need to stay together. Mike Box was found to have a severe ear infections that could potentially be causing some issues with balance and coordination. He is being treated for their ear infections with a long lasting medication. He is also on an antibiotic, steroid, and pain medication to assist in the healing of the poor conditions he came in.

Despite his rough start, Mike Box have been nothing but loving towards staff here. Evander, his litter mate has found a rescue/foster. If you are interested in giving Mike a new chapter of life, please let us know!

Age: 5 years old

Gender: Male

Weight:70 lbs

Color: White/Brown

Breed: Mixed Breed

Health Concerns: Severe aural hematomas bilaterally with severe, chronic otitis in both ears and severely stenotic canals. Bleeding scabs near ears appear more secondary to self-trauma and scratching at them. No obvious bite wounds seen. Acral lick granulomas on both front paws/carpus. Erythema throughout. Pododermatitis x4. Did appear slightly neurologic/ataxic with occasional wobbling gait. Possibly just vestibular secondary to ear disease? Fractured upper left canine tooth.

Behavior Concerns: none at this time, very friendly, dog social
