Fluffy Orange Kitty-needs tail amputation-Seeking Rescue! (Baldwin, MD)
Meet Cowboy! Cowboy came to the shelter as a stray so not much is known about his past. He presented to our veterinarian team with a body condition score of 3 out of 9 and a limp tail. We are not sure what may have happened to his tail but it appears to be dead for the most part. We are monitoring his litterbox usage for any incontinence incase the tail injury affected any bladder or fecal control. Cowboy will need a tail amputation for hygienic purposes to avoid the tail being drug through urine and feces. We are keeping Cowboy comfortable at this time during his stray hold and are hoping to line a rescue up for him!
