Longest Term Resident! Seeking Rescue, Foster or Adopter! (Baldwin, MD)
Meet Sylvester! Sylvester is a gentle, affectionate 4-year-old, 70-lb boy who becomes a loyal companion once he feels comfortable. A recent weekend with a volunteer showed just how wonderful he is in a home. He was calm in the car, playful with tug and fetch, and loved puzzle toys as well as long walks.
During a sleepover we learned that Sylvester is housebroken, slept through the night with no accidents, and he even greeted visitors politely (belly rubs are a favorite!). He walks well on leash, knows “sit” and “paw,” and is very food-motivated, making continued training easy. This guy is past the puppy stage having great home notes and is full of love. Sylvester is a true five-star guest ready for his forever home.
Sylvester would do best in a home without small and/or young children due to his nervousness and energy level. He should meet any resident dogs prior to adoption to ensure it’s a good fit. He came in as a stray so we aren’t all that sure about his past but are hopeful we can give him the best future!
Sylvester has been waiting over a month for his forever home! Here at the shelter he is starting to become more and more stressed in his kennel and we are hoping to get him out asap before he may deteriorate even further.
