Chips Ahoy is a truly lovely, social cat who is struggling to thrive in the shelter environment due to ongoing medical concerns. He consistently greets staff at the front of his kennel with soft meows, headbutts, and seeks out affection. He is easy to handle, tolerant of care, and has remained gentle and engaged despite everything he’s been through.

He has a history of being friendly with people, cats, and dogs, and has shown no concerning behaviors in the shelter. Even when other cats have been reactive toward him, he remains unbothered and tolerant.

Medically, Chips Ahoy will require continued support. Chips Ahoy has a history of chronic constipation and urinary concerns, along with suspected early-stage kidney disease (CKD) based on prior bloodwork (elevated creatinine/BUN), and is transitioned to a renal (K/D) diet with daily fiber supplementation to maintain regular bowel movements.
