๐ Rescue Needed for Senior Hal ๐- Baltimore, MD
Hal - Unaltered male, 12yo, 44.8lbs
Hal came into the shelter on 1/2 as an animal control violation after being found improperly tethered outdoors without adequate shelter or water. Despite this rough start, Hal is a sweet, gentle senior who is simply looking for a soft place to land. He is calm, easygoing, house-trained, and walks nicely on leash, enjoying slow, relaxed strolls at his own pace. While he can be shy in the shelter environment, Hal warms up with patience, enjoys treats, and allows gentle pets, showing just how loving he can be once he feels safe.
Hal is a geriatric dog with masses on the rectum, which would require evaluation and removal by a surgical specialist. Due to his age and condition, he is considered a likely hospice case, and his needs are beyond what the shelter can provide long-term. A full medical summary is available upon request.
