Meet Rocco 🐾
Rocco is a classic hound with charm, brains, and just enough playful mischief to keep life interesting. Handsome and full of personality, this 65-lb boy loves running around the yard, heading out on adventures, and making friends wherever he goes.
Food-motivated and eager to learn, Rocco is well-mannered, he comes when called and can be trusted when left alone (a rare hound win!).
After a day of fun, Rocco is more than happy to curl up on the couch, stretch out in a cozy bed, or even snuggle into your lap for a well-earned nap. He’s come a long way and continues to gain confidence with patience, routine, and love.
Rocco originally came to us as an urgent plea from PG County back in May 2025, where he was listed as a 15-year-old with a suspected broken leg. Since then, he has fooled us all, his leg is not broken, and we do not believe he is 15. Despite being moved around for various reasons, Rocco has remained resilient and full of heart. What he needs most now is stability and a home where he can finally settle in and feel secure.
He would do best in a home with older kids.
