The very cutest, most affectionate 4-month-old puppy in need of a front leg amputation - BARCS, Baltimore MD
Pupinos 1- 4 months old, altered female, 30lbs
4-month-old Pupinos 1 was surrendered with her three siblings when their owner could no longer care for them. All of them arrived at our shelter quite scared and overwhelmed, but still, they're very sweet. Pupinos 1 allows you to carry her, is very affectionate, and wags her tail all the while licking your face and rolling over for rubs. She's so desperate for love.
Upon examination, our vets noted that Pupinos 1 appears generally pretty healthy but is grade 5/6 lame on her left front leg, which seems painful during movement or palpation. X-rays revealed an old elbow injury, so an amputation is recommended to improve her quality of life. A full medical summary and x-rays can be provided upon request.
Sweet Pupinos 1 is available immediately for rescue pick-up, and given her injuries and need for surgery, we would love to secure placement for her ASAP.
