Meet Cypress
This sweet boy has found himself back at the shelter twice in just one month. He first came in as a stray and was quickly adopted, but sadly returned when his new family struggled with his separation anxiety. When left alone, Cypress may whine and/or bark, so he’ll need a patient adopter or rescue partner who understands that he will need time, structure, and lots support to overcome his separation anxiety.
In his previous home, he was described as calm, housebroken, and a great companion. He is not crate trained. His previous home said of his favorite things to do were car rides with the windows down and long, relaxed sniff walks where he can explore the world at his own pace.
Here at the shelter, Cypress has been easy to handle, walking nicely on leash and engaging well with staff. However, he did become overstimulated at a recent event and attempted to air snap at a child. Because of this, Cypress would do best in a home with older children (or adults only) who can understand and respect dog body language and help him feel safe and secure.
If you can help Cypress start fresh and pull Cypress into your rescue organization please email us at bcasrescue@baltimorecountymd.gov
If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Cypress, come visit him at our shelter location at 13800 Manor Road, Baldwin MD, during adoption hours. Our adoption hours are 7 days a week from noon to 5PM. Please arrive by 4:30PM to complete a same-day adoption.
