Thanks to wonderful networkers, an excellent city shelter and a great rescue Fallside has placement (we don't know which rescue yet).
Fallside - altered female, 9y3m, 12.8lbs
Fallside came in on 2/10 as an animal control violation and is in urgent need of rescue placement due to the severity of her medical condition and handling needs. She has grade 2 periodontal disease and was found with severe, generalized matting, with matts especially affecting both hind limbs, she since has been shaved under anesthesia.
Radiographs revealed significant injury to both hind limbs. Her right hind limb is amputated at the distal tibia level, and her left hind limb is amputated below the calcaneus. Both amputation sites do not appear consistent with surgical amputations, which is extremely concerning. She may ultimately need a wheelchair or other mobility support in order to live a full and comfortable life.
Due to the severity of her condition affecting both hind limbs, transfer to a facility that can provide immediate care and treatment is strongly recommended. Rescue is urgently needed.
A full medical summary can be provided upon request.
