Urgent Rescue Request – Help Needed After Recent Animal Intake🚨- Calvert County Animal Shelter - Maryland
We are reaching out to our rescue partners with an urgent plea for assistance. Over a very short period of time, we have experienced a significant intake of animals, and our capacity is quickly being stretched beyond what we can sustainably manage.
At this time, we are asking our rescue partners to consider pulling any animals they may be able to assist with. Even transferring just one animal would make a meaningful difference and help us continue providing excellent care to those still at the shelter.
Your continued support is invaluable to us and, most importantly, to the animals who depend on all of us. Please let us know if you are able to help in any way! ❤️🐾
These and many other animals in need are available and can be seen on our website www.calvertcountyanimalshelter.com.

Calvert county does need help. A few years ago, I was able to access the data and look at the live release rates for cats and dogs at many county shelters in Maryland. Calvert was struggling, with a much lower rate than other counties. Hopefully some Rescues will be able to take in a few of their animals.
