What we do besides post dogs/cats that need homes!
I just finished this canvas for a longtime animal advocate who’s gifting it to a friend (who’s dog is ill and dying of brain cancer). She is donating the cost of the canvas to Miri's Haven Senior Dog Rescue in honor of her friend’s dog and because of your paid memberships on Substack, we were able to donate the cost of the canvas. And of course, my time in creating the artwork was donated (and always will be):

I am an experienced graphic designer/fine artist and can do almost anything you would like. For now, (unless we run out of funds) all canvas/prints are covered by subscriptions. Also, we are urgently looking for advocates who can offer loving foster homes for homeless dogs and cats. As you can surmise, there are so many other worries now in this world we live in, and now many cats and dogs are being pushed aside and there is less attention paid to them. Because of the insanity of life lately, they are being dumped at shelters and just pushed out as strays. Fostering is needed now more than ever, I don’t know if many know that fostering generally doesn’t cost a blasted cent as most rescues pay the bills for vetting and some even for food and any other needs! AND fostering has so many other benefits, now that the weather is getting better here on the east coast, it gets you out for walks and if you actually fall in love with your foster, YOU GET FIRST DIBS! I know our foster Maya saved our sanity from the 2025 election and she is now our girl! And gives us please every single day! So, if you live on the east coast of the US and have room in your home and your heart, please go to Services — Charlie to the Rescue! scroll down the page and fill out the really simple form. There is no obligation, just please consider helping a poor baby dog or cat!
