Young Fluffy Pup Requesting Rescue/Foster in Baltimore City, MD:
If you can provide a loving foster home for this Filbert, please go to https://www.charliedog.org/services and let us know, we will try to find a rescue to work with you to pull and sponsor Filbert while in your care.
Filbert (Male, 2yo, 72lbs)
Filbert is a young, fluffy good boy who urgently needs a second chance.
He most recently came in as a stray. He’s mildly overweight but otherwise appears healthy and ready to start fresh. During his intake exam, Filbert was friendly and cooperative, showing everyone what a sweet boy he truly is.
This isn’t his first time at the shelter, he was also found as a stray and brought to BARCS in 2024. Somehow, this loving pup has ended up back here again.
During his 2024 behavioral evaluation, Filbert was initially a bit uncomfortable but warmed up with polite chase play. He may overcorrect pushy or full-contact play styles and was noted to become overwhelmed in large group settings. Because of this, he would likely do best with calm, respectful dog companions or as the only dog where he can fully decompress.
Shelter life is stressful, especially when you’ve already lost your home more than once. Please help Filbert find rescue placement. Let’s make sure this is the last time he ever has to walk through shelter doors. 🐾
Thank you,
